The 4015 utilizes a supplemental air curtain around the complete work peripheral edge area so that eddying and back currents are eliminated. It provides the most effective contamination control available in the industry. This additional curtain of air assures a higher degree of protection from outside contamination. The unit provides horizontal air flow in conjunction with a supplemental air intake around the perimeter of the work area. The air intake draws air in around the perimeter and substantially reduces the introduction of non-HEPA filtered air caused by items being placed into the work space and normal worker movements. The Fume Hood is constructed of stress relieved 1/2" thick white polypropylene, an extremely durable and non-corrosive thermoplastic, highly resistant to most acids, solvents, and other corrosives, Polypropylene also offers non-conductive properties and easy cleaning as well. The hood comes with the following: HEPA filter (99.99% efficient on 0.3 microns) and room air prefilters, a counterbalanced sash made of 1/4" thick clear acrylic for easy operation and a clear view of the work surface, vaporproof fluorescent interior lighting, visual and audible low airflow alarm, full width plenum with adjustable dampers for maximum efficiency in fume removal. The base cabinet is fully supported with adjustable levelers and optional casters for easy installation. Standard Fume Hoods are available in four, six and eight foot lengths. The height is constant at 95.5" and the depth is at 34", The hood is normally shipped in two pieces and assembled on site. A continuous wash of (HEPA, ULPA, or PTFE) filtered air moving horizontally across the work area. The uniform stream of filtered air moves forward over the work surface from the rear of the work area. The air flows across the work surface (product and/or application) directly at the user and exhausts into the surrounding space. Horizontal units are appropriate when the product and process at the work surface must come first in line with the clean air stream. Available in stainless steel construction, quoted on request.

A continuous wash of filtered air vertically (downward) from the filter mounted above the unit. The uniform stream of filtered air moves downward to the work area. Vertical flow units are appropriate when the process generates vapors, the work surface must be isolated form vibratory or both process and personnel must be protected from the powders, solvents and / or chemicals. Available in stainless steel construction, quoted on request. 

If space is limited, a table top unit is recommended. It is both more mobile and economical. Keep in mind that a cluttered work station defeats the purpose.
